Feeding and Nutrition

Enteral Nutrition is a service we provide for patients with a medical need for nutrition. Patients are administered nutrition via a tube placed in the patient’s gastrointestinal tract due to an inability to orally feed. Coastal Medical provides enteral pumps and nutrition on a monthly basis as part of a patient’s enteral therapy.

At Coastal Medical we provide our patients with the Kangaroo Joey pump and Zerex Infinity pump. Both feeding pumps provide tube feedings for pediatrics and adult patients and allow the patients to maintain a normal lifestyle.

Accurate

Maintains +/- 5% accuracy at any flow rate (0.1 ml/hr to 600 ml/hr) and when operated in any orientation, allowing patients to comply exactly with prescribed feeding regimens.

Portable

Weighing less than 1 pound, the pump is easily carried in a custom-designed carry pack for extended use, resulting in fewer limitations to a patient’s normal lifestyle and increased feeding schedule compliance.

Rugged

Designed to perform consistently well under a wide variety of conditions. Does not require any regularly scheduled maintenance and can be cleaned by simply rinsing under running water. 24-hour battery life with a 6-hour charge time.

Easy to Use

Extremely easy to operate and program, allowing the caregiver the ability to focus on other areas of care.​
